Mike woke up on a snowy Saturday morning. He looked in the mirror at his big bushy moustache and thought he looked slim and fitting. His hair was sticking up from all the tossing and turning because he couldn’t sleep. He was ready for the day with a hot cup of coffee waiting for him in the kitchen. He went to bed early that night. He didn’t know that it had snowed that night and he decided to get up and start his day. He got out of bed and saw the snow out his frosted window and saw the snow. He felt that there had to be at least one to two feet of snow. As he was sipping his coffee he turned on the news. He saw that he was wrong. There was four feet. He was mesmerized after watching the daily news. After being in shock he decided to head to the kitchen and get some breakfast.
Mike walked to the kitchen and said, “what do I want for breakfast”. He looked in the cereal cabinet and there was one box of beige loops but there were only crumbs. So he decided to look in the pantry for some batter mix, for pancakes or waffles or something. There was nothing there, so he finally realized that he hasn’t been to the store or gotten food since last month, and he had been going out a lot or having fast food. Realizing this he grabbed his winter hat, gloves, and coat and headed out the door.
As Mike got in his car he saw that he might be stuck with all the snow piled up against his car. He thinks to himself and decides to take the risk, and try to get his car out by just hitting the gas. He charged forward but had no success, so utterly frustrated he tries one more time. With the smell of gas around and the engine running. He decided it was no luck, with his wheels spinning and rubber burning he was stuck.
As Mike had a worried and distressed look on his face the turmoil inside forced him to call his friend Ricky Bobby who doesn’t live far. As him and Ricky were getting the shovels out of the garage Mike said to Ricky “I think this will take longer than it looks”
“I know” said Ricky. After two hours of shoveling snow they went in for something to drink, and Mike said.
“I think we’ll be out there for forever”

“well I don’t think we will have to finish by tonight, why don’t we check the news” said Ricky.
So they went over to the television and turned on the daily channel eight news, they listened for a while until the weather reports came in. the news said that it would snow around another two to three feet.
As Mike and Ricky ran back outside to shovel as much as they could before the big snow. When they got out there people were everywhere shoveling out there driveways before the big snowfall. As they were shoveling mike noticed that they were going to shovel the whole drive way out, Not just the car tires.
Mike and Ricky shovel for the next three hours they have gotten the snow out from under the car already and are starting to shovel out the driveway.
“This is so time consuming,” Mike says to Ricky
“I know, I wish we could just be done with this already” says Ricky.
“We don’t have much to go Ricky, we just have to finish the driveway.”
“Are you kidding me”, Ricky replies. “This is going to take around three more hours and we are not even half way done.”
“Yes we are we just have to put our minds to it and work hard and we will be done in no time”, said Mike.
“Yeah in another three hours,” Ricky muttered under his breath.
They don’t talk to each other for a long time, and they barely say anything or make any noises.
“We are almost finished” Mike says for the third time.
“Stop saying that,” says Ricky.
“Well if we think we can get it done faster then we will,” says Mike.
They shovel for the next hour until Ricky says, “This time Mike, we are actually close”.
“You are right, we are close but we can’t get to excited yet, we still have work to do.”

“Your right says Ricky, we have to keep working”.

After another hour of getting all the snow out and scraping all the excess snow out Ricky says, “We are just about done lets try the car.” So they try the car mike starts the car and starts rocking it. Hitting the gas and then in reverse and he keeps doing that.

“It is not working,” Said Mike in a worried voice.

“It has too, we shoveled every last piece of snow out this drive way," said Ricky.

“I don’t know,” says Mike. “we worked all day for nothing”.

“It looks like it,” said Ricky in despair. They sit down on the front steps and think what else they can do, they cannot think of anything.

“We can try one more time,” said Mike.

“Okay, only one more time and if it doesn’t work I’m going home.” Said Ricky. So they go over to the car and mike gets in and starts it up.

“Okay I’m starting!” shouts Mike over the roaring engine. He starts rocking back and forth, back and forth until all of a sudden the car shoots out of the drive way and on to the street.

“What happened?” shouted Ricky.

“ The car just shot out!” hollered Mike.

“Well bring it back in the drive way,” said Ricky. So Mike starts to drive it back in but the car won’t move.

“Why won’t it move?” said Ricky.

“I don’t know,” said Mike.

“Will we have to call a tow truck?” said Ricky.

“It is probably the best idea at this point,” said Mike.

So they went in to call a tow truck and had a big cup of hot chocolate until it arrived. Twenty minutes later it arrived and it was ready to get the car on the big hook. “How long will it take?” asked Mike.

“About a week” said the Tow man.

“How will I get food now” said Mike.

So they are trying to figure out how to get food when the weather is on in the other room. They here that there is breaking news report, reporting Von Johnson sir Dingle berry. He says that there will be no snowfall and no reason to panic. They celebrate with a big chest bump and pat on the back and mare happy as they can be. Mike points out that the snow plows plowed the streets so if Ricky put his car in the street which he did, he would be able to drive Mike.

“so lets go,” says Mike. So they walk to Ricky’s who only live a block away.

1Hour Later

“Thanks Ricky,” said Mike.

“No problem Mike.” They were happy that Mike got his food and that all the pressure is off without the big snowfall.
